Terms of Service — RAMScribe
⚠️ First-pass draft, NOT legal advice. Prepared as a working draft for a safety-critical product, launched on Jordan's accepted risk (solo operator, no solicitor review yet). Get a qualified UK solicitor review once there's real paying revenue — see Section 7.4's cap and Section 10's governing-law note in particular.
Operator: Jordan Mungujakisa ("we", "us"), an individual trading as RAMScribe, Uganda. Service: RAMScribe, an online tool that generates draft Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) documents (the "Service"). Effective date: 17 July 2026.
1. What RAMScribe is — and is not
1.1 RAMScribe produces draft documents as a drafting aid only. It is not health & safety advice, legal advice, or a professional consultancy service, and using it does not create a professional/client relationship. 1.2 Every generated document must be reviewed, verified, and made site-specific by a competent person (within the meaning of UK H&S law) before any use on site, and briefed to operatives. You are responsible for that review. 1.3 We do not warrant that any document is complete, accurate, current, or compliant with the CDM 2015 Regulations, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, or any other law or standard. Outputs are AI-generated and may contain errors or omissions.
2. Your responsibilities
2.1 You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for reviewing the output, for compliance with all applicable laws, and for the safety of any work carried out. 2.2 You confirm you are using the Service for business purposes. 2.3 You must not use the Service unlawfully, to generate documents you know to be false, or to resell/redistribute the Service itself.
3. AI-generated content
Documents are generated using third-party AI models (see the Privacy Policy for sub-processors). AI output is probabilistic and not guaranteed. You must independently verify all content.
4. Payment
4.1 The first document is free; further documents are charged per document as shown at checkout. 4.2 Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as our Merchant of Record/reseller; Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase, and Paddle handles applicable sales tax/VAT. 4.3 Prices are shown inclusive/exclusive of tax as stated at checkout.
5. Refunds
Because a document is generated and delivered immediately, paid documents are non-refundable once generated, except where required by law or where the Service failed to deliver a document at all (e.g. a payment was taken but generation failed). Full refund policy: ramscribe.co.uk/refunds. Refunds, where applicable, are handled via Paddle.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 You own the generated document and may edit and use it (subject to Section 1). 6.2 We own the Service, software, brand, and templates/prompts. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service. 6.3 You grant us a limited licence to process your inputs to provide the Service.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1 Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud). 7.2 Subject to 7.1, the Service is provided "as is" and we exclude all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted. 7.3 Subject to 7.1, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, any generated document, including site incidents, injury, enforcement action, fines, project loss, or any indirect/consequential loss. 7.4 Subject to 7.1, our total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £500. (Launch-stage cap for a solo operator; solicitor to confirm enforceability and revisit the cap level as revenue grows.)
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of, or reliance on, a generated document on site, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. (Operator is Uganda-based selling to UK customers — solicitor to advise on governing law and on mandatory UK consumer protections that may apply regardless.)
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you use the Service.
